Construction Manager – Residential | Relocate to Perth

The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established and highly regarded residential construction group in Western Australia, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager to join their team in Perth.

Reporting to the Building Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Site Managers, driving productivity, safety, quality, compliance, cost management and customer experience across the construction operation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Site Managers
• Drive construction productivity, build timeframes and practical completion targets
• Monitor construction forecasts, workloads and performance
• Manage trade allocation, recruitment and retention
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety requirements
• Oversee quality, compliance and building inspection outcomes
• Monitor construction costs and identify opportunities for improvement
• Manage supplier and subcontractor performance
• Support customer escalations and ensure high-quality handovers
• Review construction performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency
• Conduct regular site, safety and compliance reviews
• Work collaboratively with Safety, Operations, Finance, Customer Experience and other internal teams
• Support broader construction initiatives and continuous improvement

About You

We are looking for an experienced residential construction manager or area construction manager with a strong understanding of Frame and Truss building methodology and proven experience leading high-performing teams.

You will have:

• Strong experience in residential construction
• Solid building methodology experience, particularly Frame & Truss – essential
• Previous experience as a Construction Manager or Area Construction Manager
• Proven experience leading, coaching and developing Site Managers
• Strong understanding of construction processes, quality and compliance
• Ability to interpret building plans, specifications and inspection reports
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction costs
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with trades, suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders
• A strong focus on safety, quality, productivity and delivering results

A relevant trade qualification and/or experience working closely with trades in residential construction will be highly regarded. 5+ years' experience in a Construction Manager position is desirable.
