Job Description

Position: Construction Manager - Civil

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Manager to oversee our client's civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong background in civil construction and project management. GCC experience is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of civil construction projects from conception to completion
• Develop project plans and schedules, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards
• Coordinate with project team members, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of construction activities
• Monitor and control project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays
• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards, and maintain a safe working environment for all workers on site
• Review and approve project designs, plans, and specifications
• Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients
• Manage project budget, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and making adjustments as necessary
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications
• Resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise during the construction process
• Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, motivating and supporting them to achieve project goals
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and implement best practices to improve project efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on civil construction
• GCC experience is required
• Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering civil construction projects on time and within budget
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials
• Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Familiarity with relevant safety and quality standards and regulations
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
• Proficient in project management software and MS Office applications.
