Artheon is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Inspector to join our team in Cape May, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in inspecting public projects and will preferably hold NICET III certification. As an Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of public projects within Cape May and Cumberland Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Project Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of public projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure, to ensure compliance with design specifications, codes, and regulations
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspection findings, including photographs, reports, and other relevant documentation. Prepare inspection reports for clients and regulatory authorities as needed
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify and address construction and design issues promptly, ensuring the quality and safety of the project
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure they adhere to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols, taking appropriate actions to address non-compliance
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies. Provide clear and concise updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions

Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in inspecting public infrastructure projects, such as roads, bridges, and utilities, is required
  • NICET II: NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) Level III certification in a related field is highly preferred
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards, including relevant codes and regulations
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with project stakeholders and prepare detailed inspection reports
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation

The base salary range for this role is indicated in the posting. This range reflects the company’s good faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
