Job Description

Kanadevia Inova (KVI) is a global market leader in energy from waste (EfW) and renewable gas. KVI acts as an engineering, procurement and construction contractor and project developer, delivering complete turnkey plants and system solutions for thermal and biological EfW recovery. KVI’s Service Group combines its own research and development with comprehensive manufacturing and erection capabilities to support our clients throughout the entire life cycle of their plant.

  • Develop erection and construction plans supporting tendering and execution phases.
  • Provide conceptual estimates from preliminary drawings.
  • Develop civil, mechanical, and electrical bid packages for erection works.
  • Lead and perform constructability reviews.
  • Supervise and support construction sites professionally.
  • Integrate HSE, schedule, cost, and quality objectives into execution.
  • Plan staffing levels and identify training needs.
  • Recruit, manage, mentor, discipline, or dismiss site personnel as necessary.
  • Procure contractors and third-party labor; manage contracts and purchase orders.
  • Review contractor RFIs, claims, and variations and advise project management.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineering, and HSE teams.
  • Advocate for field personnel regarding payroll, expenses, and logistics.
  • Promote teamwork and integration of field staff into the overall organization.
  • Approve time sheets and expenses.
  • Maintain regular reporting to the Project Director.
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE, contractual, and internal requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in plant erection, preferably in large industrial and field-based projects.
  • Strong experience in site management, erection planning, and constructability using relevant tools. - Experience working in interdisciplinary project teams (civil, mechanical, electrical, HSE, quality, commercial).
  • Proven ability to manage, lead, mentor, discipline, and develop field personnel.
  • Strong market, contractor, and labor knowledge including market forces and capacity.
  • Ability to establish high-level erection and construction plans based on risk, cost, and schedule analysis.
  • Capability to identify complex, multi-level issues early and act proactively.
  • Strong decision-making skills in environments with incomplete information.
  • Commercial and contractual acumen including contractor evaluation, claims, and RFIs.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, labor laws, contracts, and legislative impacts.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence within assigned scope.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to talk or hear, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
