Construction Manager

SERVPRO of San Diego East / Mid-City San Diego is seeking a Construction Manager to lead reconstruction projects and deliver exceptional service to our customers. In this role, you will manage construction projects from scope development through completion while coordinating crews, subcontractors, and materials to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and to SERVPRO standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall customer and client experience throughout the construction process
  • Evaluate projects and develop scopes of work and estimates
  • Obtain approval of project scope, pricing, and schedule
  • Create and manage project schedules and timelines
  • Coordinate crews, subcontractors, and material suppliers
  • Ensure all work complies with plans, specifications, local building codes, and safety standards
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses
  • Conduct quality control inspections and resolve job-site issues
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and communication with stakeholders
  • Compile and resolve punch list items
  • Perform final walkthroughs with customers
  • Secure Certificates of Completion and Satisfaction
  • Manage warranty items and follow-up service
  • Identify and qualify subcontractors and vendors
  • Ensure proper permits are obtained
  • Maintain a safe work environment and enforce safety protocols

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous construction or restoration project management experience
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience reading scopes, budgets, and estimates
  • Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Xactimate, project software)
  • PMP certification or similar project management training preferred
  • Restoration industry experience preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent driving to job sites
  • Walking or standing for extended periods
  • Occasional ladder climbing
  • Exposure to job-site conditions including heat and noise

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call response may be required depending on project needs.
