Construction Manager

CSEngineering is seeking a Construction Manager to join our growing team! This role will provide onsite construction management and technical oversight for infrastructure modernization projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of construction practices, quality assurance, and project coordination to support successful project execution and ensure compliance with construction plans, specifications, and safety standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Construction Manager will provide onsite construction administration and technical oversight to support facility and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include monitoring contractor activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• The Construction Manager will conduct routine site inspections and document construction progress through daily logs and inspection reports. The role requires reviewing contractor submittals, requests for information (RFIs), and proposed changes to ensure alignment with project requirements and construction documentation.
• The Construction Manager will monitor project schedules, budgets, and overall construction performance, assisting with evaluation of contractor work progress and determining the value of acceptable work in place for payment applications. The position will also support the evaluation of change orders and assist in resolving technical or construction-related issues.
• The Construction Manager will coordinate closely with project stakeholders to ensure timely communication and resolution of project challenges. This includes assisting in the implementation of project management plans related to quality assurance, safety, scheduling, cost monitoring, and risk management.
• The Construction Manager will apply working knowledge of construction practices, building codes, materials, and construction methods to monitor contractor performance and ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements. The role may include identifying deficiencies or inconsistencies in contractor work and recommending corrective actions.
• The Construction Manager will maintain organized project documentation, monitor contractor compliance with quality assurance programs, and support project reporting and recordkeeping requirements.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Degree may be substituted with relevant years of construction management experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of construction-related experience required.
• Working knowledge of construction practices, materials, methods, and building codes.
• Experience performing construction inspections and monitoring contractor quality assurance.
• Ability to review construction documents, submittals, and project schedules.
• Experience supporting project documentation, cost monitoring, and change management processes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate with project stakeholders and contractors.
• Proficiency with computer software used for project tracking, documentation, and reporting.
• Ability to successfully complete a NACI background investigation.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS

• OSHA 30-Hour Safety Training preferred.
• Professional construction management certifications are desirable but not required.
• Experience supporting healthcare facility construction projects is preferred.
