Construction Manager

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role is crucial for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while adhering to all safety regulations.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, including planning, scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation.
* Develop and implement project plans, including scope, objectives, schedules, and budgets, in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Supervise and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project specifications.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
* Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and Hitachi's internal policies.
* Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
* Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, reports, and change orders.
* Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
* Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization throughout the project lifecycle.
* Participate in pre-construction activities, including design reviews, constructability analysis, and value engineering.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and other relevant construction management tools.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
* Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to project challenges.
* Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
* PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
* Ability to travel to various project sites as required.
