Job Description

JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way

Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong. Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.

We are seeking a Construction Logistics Manager to synchronize the movement of people, materials, and heavy equipment for our data center developments. You will be the "air traffic controller" of the construction site, managing site access, material staging, and the delivery of critical infrastructure. Your mission is to eliminate site congestion and ensure that long-lead equipment arrives exactly when the installation teams are ready.

Core Responsibilities

  • Site Logistics Planning: Develop and maintain the Master Logistics Plan, including traffic routes, crane placements, and material laydown areas.
  • Delivery Coordination: Manage a digital delivery booking system to prevent "bottlenecks" at the site gates and ensure 24/7 site flow. ( DataScope)
  • Equipment Tracking: Track "Long-Lead Items" (LLIs) from the factory to the site, providing real-time visibility into the arrival of equipment to site.
  • Security & Access Control: Coordinate with site security to manage badge access for thousands of trade workers and delivery drivers.
  • Waste & Vertical Logistics: Manage the removal of construction debris and coordinate the use of hoists, cranes, and lifts for moving material around the site.
  • Vetting & Compliance: Ensure all delivery vehicles meet safety standards and that drivers follow strict Site Management Plans (SMP).
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for local authorities regarding road closures, noise variances, and oversized load permits (where applicable).

Technical Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years in logistics management for large-scale infrastructure or industrial construction
  • Scale: Proven experience managing sites with 500+ daily workers and high-volume material flow.
  • Software: Proficiency in logistics scheduling tools (e.g., ACC, Procore, or specialized delivery management software).
  • Oversized Loads: Experience managing the logistics of "super-loads" (e.g., 50-ton generators) requiring specialized permits and escorts.

Key Competencies

  • Spatial Awareness: Ability to visualize and plan site layouts that change weekly as the building footprint grows.
  • MIMO: Develop MIMO plan. (Move in Move out)
  • Crisis Management: Ability to reroute deliveries and solve supply chain disruptions on the fly without stopping work.
  • Communication: Fluent in coordinating between General Contractors, vendors, and local government officials.

Success Metrics (KPIs)

  • Demurrage Costs: Zero or minimal charges for delayed offloading of delivery trucks.
  • Site Uptime: Ensuring no work stoppages occur due to material unavailability or site congestion.
  • Safety Incident Rate: Zero accidents related to vehicle movements or material handling on-site.
