8467 Construction Services
Under general supervision of the manager, performs a variety of work in the construction of capital projects for the hospital facilities, offices, and clinics.
License /Certification
Required
Valid California Drivers License. Must provide DMV report prior to offer being made. No driving infractions 5 years prior to hire or during time in this job. Infractions include DUI, Suspended or Revoked License, Reckless Driving.
Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
Required: Two years of technical training or previous construction experience of any trade plumbing, electrical, mechanical/HVAC, framing drywall, painting, concrete, cabinetry, or flooring.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledgeable in electrical, air conditioning, welding, plumbing, or painting.
Must have a personal cell phone for work purposes, preferably AT&T. Stipend will be provided.
Essential
Assists construction services technicians with designated tasks as assigned by manager.
Understands that each individual will be assigned primary responsibility in their specialty construction trade.
Makes necessary repairs through adjustments, cleaning, or replacement of parts.
Assembles and installs new mechanical equipment as required by capital construction projects.
Inspects and tests designated mechanical equipment as required by capital construction projects.
Picks up and delivers designated items as required.
Keeps accurate records of assigned tasks regarding time, equipment, tools, and supplies used.
Maintains and keeps in good repair all tools and equipment.
PAINTING: Applies paint, varnish and lacquer or other material to surfaces for buildings, furniture, equipment and other structures. Applies wallpaper, drywall, wall texturing, ceiling texturing or other wall coverings. Operates any equipment required to complete job. Erects various types of scaffolding to reach surfaces.

Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and services appropriate to the population served on the assigned unit or work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
