Knik Construction is seeking a motivated QC Technician Intern to support our Quality Control team during the summer construction season. This internship provides hands on experience with field testing, documentation, and compliance on active construction projects. No prior experience is required — we will train you.
Location: Valdez, Alaska
Schedule: Full Time, Seasonal
What You’ll Do:
• Assist QC staff with basic construction material testing (soil, aggregate, asphalt, concrete)
• Help collect samples and observe field testing
• Record test results and help with simple paperwork
• Learn how construction projects are built and inspected
• Keep testing tools and work areas clean and organized
• Follow safety procedures at all times
• Perform duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:
• Recently graduated from high school
• Willing to learn and take direction
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet
• Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather
• Reliable, punctual, and safety minded
• Basic computer skills helpful but not required
• Valid driver’s license
