Recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in our business, we are actively seeking to hire a Construction Inspectors who aligns with our passion for delivering outstanding client service and high-quality results. The candidate may reside in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, or Ventura but will primarily work at our Montecito job site, requiring daily travel.


What You Will Do

  • Construction Inspection:
    • Conduct on-site inspections of water and wastewater construction projects to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
    • Monitor and assess construction activities to ensure quality, safety, and permit requirements are met.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed and accurate records of construction activities, inspections, and any deviations from approved plans.
    • Prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports.
    • Provide regular updates to project managers, engineers, and other staff as required.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure that construction projects adhere to all plans, specification, and permitting requirements.
    • Ensure project compliance with all SWPPP and MMRP requirements, as needed.
  • Communication and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure smooth project execution.
    • Communicate effectively with team members to relay inspection results, project status, and potential risks.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and enforce quality assurance measures to ensure that materials, workmanship, and construction processes meet contract requirements.

What You Bring

  • A passion for water, with an emphasis on creating multi-benefit solutions for communities and the environment.
  • Previous experience in construction, construction management. or inspection, with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Deep knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure design, construction methods, equipment, materials, and applicable code requirements in one or more disciplines including civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans and specifications.
  • OSHA training and ISO certifications preferred.
  • This position requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company and insurance provider requirements for driving eligibility.

Pay Range: This is a full time non-exempt hourly position, estimated 40 hours per week. The pay range is $38.00 – $65.00 per hour may be more or less depending on experience
