Construction General Superintendent

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced General Superintendent to provide overall field leadership for complex, large-scale construction projects throughout South Florida.

This individual will be responsible for establishing and leading the field organization, coordinating construction operations, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Provide overall leadership and direction for field operations from mobilization through final completion.
• Establish and oversee the field organization, including Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Lead construction planning, site logistics, manpower allocation, sequencing, and schedule execution.
• Coordinate major structural, architectural, MEP, and specialty construction activities.
• Work closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, and operations leadership to align field execution with project objectives.
• Establish clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, communication, and accountability.
• Identify potential construction risks and implement proactive solutions to protect project schedules and performance.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and maintain accountability for commitments, workmanship, and milestone completion.
• Build a collaborative field environment based on trust, respect, teamwork, and personal responsibility.
• Develop and mentor field leadership while ensuring consistent construction standards across the project.
• Oversee quality control, inspections, project milestones, and successful final turnover.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

• Proven experience as a General Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, Lead Superintendent, or equivalent senior field leader.
• Demonstrated success overseeing complex, large-scale commercial or multifamily construction projects.
• Experience establishing and leading field organizations with multiple Superintendents and subcontractor teams.
• Strong understanding of construction operations from initial mobilization through completion.
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, structural systems, MEP coordination, scheduling, and site logistics.
• Proven ability to manage construction sequencing, manpower, subcontractor coordination, and milestone execution.
• Ability to anticipate and resolve complex field challenges while maintaining schedule, safety, and quality standards.
• Strong understanding of construction documents, inspections, quality control, and project closeout.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to establish expectations and drive accountability.
• Experience mentoring Superintendents and developing effective field teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with project leadership, clients, consultants, and trade partners.
• Commitment to personal integrity, teamwork, jobsite safety, and delivering on commitments.
