Construction Estimator
Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $60K–$100K | Hybrid

Konik is partnering with a well-established specialty contractor known for delivering complex, custom structural projects across commercial and industrial markets nationwide. This organization has built a strong reputation for tackling challenging, fast-track work that requires creativity, precision, and collaboration.

This role is ideal for an estimator early in their career who wants exposure to high-profile, non-commodity projects while developing their skills within a supportive, team-oriented environment. You’ll work closely with senior estimators and leadership, gaining hands-on experience in both technical estimating and client-facing aspects of project pursuits.

Construction Estimator Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing detailed estimates and proposals for custom structural projects
  • Support conceptual budgeting and early-stage pricing efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams on schedules, pricing strategies, and proposal development
  • Review subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure scope alignment and completeness
  • Assist in developing change order pricing and cost analysis
  • Contribute to proposal narratives and overall bid strategy
  • Maintain accuracy and organization across multiple active bids

Construction Estimator Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in construction estimating or related field
  • Exposure to structural steel or specialty construction environments preferred
  • Interest in custom estimating and project-based work (not repetitive/unit-based bids)
  • Basic understanding of fabrication, detailing, erection, and construction workflows
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Experience

  • Internship or early career experience in structural steel, fabrication, or construction
  • Familiarity with takeoff and estimating software
  • Exposure to commercial, healthcare, aviation, or large-scale project environments

Compensation & Benefits
