Estimator (Water/ Wastewater)

Location: Dayton, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a Preconstruction Engineer / Estimator to support estimating and preconstruction efforts for water infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates, supporting project planning, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects while playing a key role in setting project teams up for success.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and develop cost estimates for assigned scopes of work
• Support preconstruction planning, budgeting, and bid development activities
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to gather pricing and project information
• Assist with value engineering efforts to optimize cost, efficiency, and constructability
• Organize and maintain estimating data, project documentation, and bid materials
• Support development of project plans and budgets to ensure competitive and accurate proposals
• Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align preconstruction efforts with project execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management
• Experience in water infrastructure construction or related heavy construction environments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex project information
• Experience performing takeoffs, estimating, and cost analysis
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
