Duties and responsibilities
• Completion of 4 years apprenticeship program
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical issues as faulty wiring, malfunctioning circuits and equipment failure
• Properly and safely install, replace and repair electrical systems, lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels, including energy-efficient systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations, including in-slab installations.
• Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
• Splice, join, and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.
• Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
• Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of the system following installation, replacement, or repair.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty components.
• Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices, and heating and cooling systems.
• Plan and execute electrical installations, including EMT and conduit work.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
• Support the growth and development of company culture

Requirements

Physical Requirements
• Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10hrs day
• Must be able to lift 30-50lbs as needed
• Must be able to work in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures for 10hrs a day
