Construction Director – Power

Play an integral role in leading the delivery of large-scale power generation projects that directly impact energy reliability, infrastructure resilience, and the transition to more sustainable solutions. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and field execution—bringing structure, leadership, and clarity to complex construction environments. This is a highly visible leadership role where your ability to align teams, drive performance, and deliver predictable outcomes shapes both project success and long-term client relationships.

Purpose of the role
Play an integral role in directing construction execution across major capital power projects, ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery. You will translate project and business objectives into actionable construction strategies, aligning multidisciplinary teams and field operations to achieve schedule, cost, and performance targets while meeting contractual and regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for

  • Leading the construction strategy and execution for large-scale power generation projects, including cogeneration and other complex power technologies
  • Providing overall direction and governance for construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within or below budget, and in alignment with contractual obligations
  • Developing integrated construction plans, methodologies, and execution strategies that align with project objectives and client expectations
  • Driving operational performance across construction phases by optimizing productivity, managing risk, and ensuring quality outcomes
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing construction leadership teams, including construction managers, superintendents, and field supervisors
  • Collaborating closely with engineering, procurement, project controls, and client stakeholders to enable seamless EPC/EPCM project delivery
  • Building a deep understanding of customer objectives, contract frameworks, and organizational policies to guide decisions and execution strategies
  • Leading complex problem-solving efforts, applying both technical expertise and practical judgment to resolve challenges efficiently
  • Overseeing workforce planning, contractor performance, and resource allocation to maximize execution efficiency and project outcomes
  • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, reinforcing a strong safety-first culture across all activities
  • Communicating effectively with senior leadership and client stakeholders, providing clear visibility into progress, risks, and opportunities
  • Influencing key decisions that impact project performance, commercial outcomes, and long-term business success
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of construction systems, tools, and delivery frameworks across the organization
