Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Construction Coordinator I or II to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

The Construction Coordinator I or II coordinates the construction execution and interface of ongoing project work. Serves as liaison between project management, project team, and construction management to coordinate the execution of work. Scope includes awarded project work from execution through turnover to customer.
Assists construction management in coordination and interface with operations, radiological control, maintenance and other facility support organizations. Interfaces with internal and external customers and works with other facility groups and departments including supervisors and mid-level management.
Participates in field walk downs to verify construction progress and non-technical completion of activities as identified on schedules and project scope documents.
Participates in construction schedule development meetings to obtain understanding and knowledge of execution activities, schedule logic, durations, and interface requirements with external departments.
Maintains awareness of scheduled project work, required interface with external work groups and project support organizations to ensure no constraints to construction activities.
Represents the construction team in status, integration or other meetings related to assigned work scopes.
Understands and follows ISMS work steps (Scope, Analyze Hazards, Identify Controls, Perform Work, Feedback). Stays current on changing work practices and policies.
Confirms that work performed is completed according to technical work documents, and according to safety standards with support from construction Engineering and Craft Supervision.
Coordinates with stakeholders to provide input to integrating project schedule activities into the facility scheduling programs (i.e. POW, lock-in and long range planning).
Participates in multiple project safety and work planning meetings to confirm schedule activities, logic and durations have been properly defined. Exercises control to implement changes necessary to ensure timely input of all data.
Routinely reviews schedules and milestone commitments to ensure progress supports on-time completion and identifies potential impacts and risk to project performance.

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC), a prime contractor for the US Department of Energy, is responsible for managing the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site’s Liquid Waste operations contract. Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) has been awarded the Savannah River Site Integrated Mission Completion Contract (SRS IMCC) by U.S Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management (DOE EM). SRMC comprises parent company BWX Technologies, Inc. with partners Amentum and Fluor.
Critical scope covered under SRS IMCC includes, but is not limited to:
Liquid Waste Stabilization/Disposition, and may include Nuclear Materials Management and Stabilization; Project Management and Support Services; Storage of Liquid Radioactive Waste; Remediation, Treatment, and Disposal of Nuclear Materials, Spent Nuclear Fuel; Remediation and Treatment of Contaminated Surface Water, Groundwater and Soils; and, Decontamination of Nuclear Facilities and Equipment.
The contract has an estimated ceiling of approximately $21 billion over a 10-year ordering period.
