Construction Coordinator

Purpose of the job:

Within the System Construction Site Coordination Team, the Construction Coordinator follows closely all sub-systems works in the assigned area and reports to Area Construction manager.

Key accountabilities / Conducts site visits to:

  • Monitor, record and report work activities by all subsystems or/and CW
  • Serves as a liaison with Project Management reporting on inspections, subcontracting, progress and delays.
  • Proactive identification and resolution of any site issues that may impede the project delivery while providing technical knowledge and inputs to assist installing contractors.
  • Identifies or verifies reported clashes and coordination issues between subsystems or/and CW
  • Leads work area handover / handback, documenting any snags
  • Assess the progress of works against the schedule
  • Ensures that the necessary permits are available before the start of the works
  • Ensures that all works are done based on approved drawings and MS
  • Ensures that each subsystem mobilizes its team and have the 4M implementated
  • Identify and report deviations of installation from the approved drawings
  • Identify and report EHS hazards
  • Coordinates all concurrent activities in the area and issues daily reports

Performance measurements

Planning, Quality, EHS: monitoring, anticipation and reporting on progress and issues

Educational Requirements:

University Degree

Experience:

Previous experience in an Infrastructure Project

Competencies & Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to fulfil the role of interface manager toward both customers and partners
  • Quality-focused, rigorous, team-player
  • Decision-making and problem-solving ability
