Job Description

You may have been part of some big projects before, but this work is legacy-building.

You've been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.

In this role, you'll be:

Working as part of a tight-knit and experienced team, in small crews, this role will have you getting stuck into carpentry and trade work involved in all aspects of building, maintaining and repairing bridges and structures across the Western NSW region.

You’ll work on the maintenance and rehabilitation of 1400 bridges and structures, including the opportunity to work on historic and heritage-significant timber truss bridges, and travel throughout the region, taking pride in work that genuinely lasts.

Based in Dubbo or surrounding areas, you’ll be joining a stable team with strong long-term service, backed by modern work vehicles, equipment, and tools of the trade to get the job done right, all on us of course. This role comes with a base salary, and entitlement to additional allowances when working away from home.

For more details about the role, please refer to the role description here and general Transport for NSW information pack here

About you

Your trade-qualified carpentry background, ideally gained through civil construction or similar environments, will see you confidently delivering hands-on work on bridges and structures across the region.

You’re comfortable working with hardwood and civil structures, take pride in quality workmanship, and enjoy being part of a small, close-knit crew.

You’re known for being reliable, easy to work with and clear in your communication, and you’re happy to travel and stay away from home when the job requires it. You’ll also hold a current White Card and driver’s licence, allowing you to get straight on the tools.
