
Full-Time | Monday -Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
As the Construction Assistant Project Manager, you will assist the Project Manager in project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, as well as control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with all quality standards and contract documents. You will report to the Project Manager.
Primary Tasks:
1. Provide support to the Project Manager in the oversight of construction projects by overseeing charting project objectives, setting performance requirements, managing construction budget related to each project and coordinate project information among Architects, CM, End-user, Subcontractors, and various other team members.
2. Identify and respond to construction setbacks or delays that may occur, present resolutions and report all incidents to the Project Manager.
3. Respond to construction situations anywhere within the 10 ½ counties of the Choctaw Nation at any time.
4. Conduct on-site observations and inspections and document construction activities including any evidence to ensure CNO & CNCA standards are met.
5. Read and interpret the project’s contract documents and other project related documentation.
6. Implement procedures in order to comply with contractual, legal and OSHA safety requirements and take required action by documenting and correcting issues.
7. Verify quality of materials, equipment, and labor to ensure the Choctaw Nation is receiving the greatest service and materials for the price and ensure they are properly dispersed to meet project deadlines.
8. Communicate to various levels of leadership within the Choctaw Nation, Architects, Construction Managers, and other field employees on construction projects.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
· Associate’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or business or 2 years of directly related experience in lieu of education
· Knowledge of Bluebeam Construction software
· Strong understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems in various construction environments.
· Understands contractual, legal, and OSHA safety requirements.
· 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role
· 3 or more years’ experience in Construction accounting including ODPI, GMP, and estimating
