In building a purpose-built team of experts in multifamily design, construction, and tax credit financing, he has committed to developing a nationwide, long term portfolio from the ground up. Impact is truly a mission-driven enterprise, with a commitment from Mr. Sternlicht to contribute a portion of all project development fees toward his private charitable foundation. About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Construction & Asset Manager to oversee our growing LIHTC multifamily portfolio. With 2 projects currently under construction and 5 additional closings anticipated by year-end, this is a high-impact role offering significant visibility across a national portfolio. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing construction oversight and handling asset management responsibilities, though we are open to candidates who excel in one discipline. Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction Management
  • Oversee and manage owners' representatives assigned to each active development project
  • Conduct regular construction audits to monitor quality, schedule, and budget adherence
  • Support pre-construction budgeting and plan review
  • Review working drawings and construction documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in administering construction contracts and advising on issues requiring attention from contractors or the development team
  • Provide guidance to ensure smooth project completion, delivery, and warranty periods
Asset Management
  • Manage investor and lender draw requests across the portfolio
  • Serve as a key point of contact for lenders and equity investors during the construction and lease up periods
  • Monitor project-level financial performance and reporting
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management, asset management, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of multifamily real estate; affordable housing or LIHTC experience is a plus but not required
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across geographies
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with owners' representatives, investors, lenders, and internal stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support a national portfolio
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Houston, TX or New York, NY
