The opportunity
At BPA, we value hands-on experience and people who understand how construction really works on site. As a Construction Administrator with a background in electrical systems, you will play a key role in monitoring construction activities, working closely with engineers, contractors, and trades, and ensuring that electrical work is completed accurately and in accordance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements. Acting as a critical liaison between project teams, you will contribute directly to the successful delivery of large, complex projects throughout the Ottawa region.

Your daily impact
• Ensure the execution of medium- to large-scale work and compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Conduct site visits, prepare site report and site instructions for contractors, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Follow up with the contractor on drawing markups for the preparation of as-built drawings.
• Monitor schedules and attend site meetings.
• Verify work progress against drawings and specifications.
• Contribute to the resolution of technical issues and provide expertise in the interpretation of drawings and specifications.
• Analyze and negotiate change order pricing with contractors.

Your profile
• Completion of a technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with knowledge of applicable Ontario codes and standards, as well as building electrical systems.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, and access to a vehicle.
• Excellent communications skills in English, verbal and written. French is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Versatility, autonomy and proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong skills in report writing and experience working in multidisciplinary teams
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality.

Hourly salary range: $41 – $51 per hour, with final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, scope of the role, and geographic location.
