Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position:

  • Receive and triage incoming complaints and inquiries
  • Coordinate with partners to solve constituent concerns, facilitate meetings, etc.
  • Coordinate concerns related to contract compliance issues with appropriate oversight staff and operational units
  • Organize incident data and escalate concerns
  • Manage external support coordinator change requests
  • Track data related to reported concerns

Qualifications

Minimum or "day-one" qualifications:

  • Interpersonal and customer service skills and experience
  • Experience with conflict resolution.
  • Ability to relate to and communicate with people with varying intellectual capabilities and professional backgrounds.
  • Ability to gather appropriate information related to a complex issue, summarize it accurately, explore alternatives, and engage relevant parties toward solutions.
  • Empathy for people from various backgrounds and the ability to navigate stress and trauma.
  • Interviewing skills and techniques.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, regulations and/or policies and procedures.
  • Ability to speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand information and ideas when presented verbally.
  • Experience delivering presentations or training using acceptable methods and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly and concisely in writing; and read and understand information presented in writing.

Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:

  • Experience working with people with disabilities
  • Knowledge and experience of the DSPD service system
  • Conflict resolution and meeting facilitation skills
