Position Summary

Sea Fox Boats is seeking an experienced Console / Interior Installer to join our production team. This position is responsible for installing console assemblies, interior components, and related hardware in newly manufactured boats while ensuring proper fit, alignment, functionality, and finished appearance. The ideal candidate has marine manufacturing experience, strong installation skills, attention to detail, and takes pride in producing a high-quality finished product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install console assemblies, interior components, and related hardware according to production specifications.
  • Install components such as dash assemblies, steering systems, gauges, switches, seating components, storage features, and other interior boat components as assigned.
  • Measure, position, align, and secure components to ensure proper fit and finish.
  • Route and connect wiring, controls, and related components according to specifications.
  • Perform installation of hardware, fasteners, brackets, and accessories using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Inspect completed installations to ensure proper operation, appearance, and quality standards are met.
  • Identify and correct installation issues, defects, or inconsistencies before completion.
  • Follow work instructions, production procedures, and quality standards.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and marine installation equipment.
  • Maintain an organized work area and follow all safety requirements.
  • Communicate material shortages, quality concerns, or production issues to leadership.
  • Work collaboratively with other production team members to maintain workflow and meet production goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in marine manufacturing, boat building, boat assembly, or a similar marine production environment is required.
  • Previous experience installing boat interiors, consoles, marine hardware, or related components is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to complete detailed installation work.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and production specifications.
  • Ability to accurately measure, drill, fit, and install components according to specifications.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to troubleshoot installation issues and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a production team.
  • Dependable attendance and ability to meet production schedules.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a marine manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass materials, and varying temperatures.
  • Must be comfortable working inside and around boats during various stages of production.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements required for installation tasks.
  • Must follow required safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
