Responsibilities: This person will be expected to increase livestock producer awareness and education about conservation grazing and natural resources and increase the scale and/or rate of conservation practice delivery and adoption by ranchers/livestock producers. Important elements include integrating and connecting wildlife, soil, and water conservation management benefits to a farm’s forage and economic goals. All duties should be performed in accordance with company policy.
What You’ll Do
Develop, support, and promote soil, water, and wildlife conservation programs for Missouri’s farmers and ranchers
Conduct Producer meetings and educational events and write periodic articles in Today’s Farmer magazine
Develop promotional and outreach materials that highlight conservation practices tailored to producers.
With input from partners, assist in program development and educational materials to be shared with strategic partners, producers, and landowners regarding the “grazing with natives” initiative and applicable initiatives.
Be knowledgeable of Federal and State cost-share practices available across Missouri.
Collaborate and have general knowledge of grazing programs offered by other partner entities, where applicable, to help landowners meet their objectives.
Help MFA employees and producers understand how pollinator habitat, cover crops, and annual forages can be integrated into their grazing operations.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Conservation, Natural Resources, or a related degree or equivalent experience.
2 years of work experience in grazing/forage management, agriculture, or conservation preferred
Preference for holding a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) accreditation (or willing to obtain)
