
CONOPS Engineer/System Engineer

The Imaging Concept of Operations (CONOPs) Engineer performs tasks as part of the design team to define how a system will be used, now and in the future, functioning as a bridge between stakeholder needs and technical requirements. The CONOPs Engineer develops scenarios, identifies users, and outlines operational goals to guide design, testing, and deployment. CONOPs engineers collaborate with stakeholders, may perform modeling and design tasks, and analyzes risks to ensure systems capabilities and features meet present and future objectives.
CONOPS Engineer/System Engineer Required Task:
·Participate is Systems Analysis by evaluating System Design Concepts, CONOPs design and modeling, simulation, and trade studies to evaluate design alternatives
·Create documents describing the "To-Be" system, including functional models, performance, and operational constraints
·Develop high-level operational scenarios and use cases from the perspective of usersthat describe the system's use during normal, emergency, and maintenance modes
·Manage and execute operational tests on the integrated submarine imaging system
·Interface with the Fleet, customers, and other stakeholders for technical collaboration and integration efforts
·Foster a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders
CONOPS Engineer/System Engineer Desired Skills:
·Ability to visualize complex "system of systems" interactions
·Background or understanding of engineering principals
·Strong skills for facilitating stakeholder workshops and translating needs into documentation
·Expertise in Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination, particularly in ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) systems
CONOPS Engineer/System Engineer Additional Requirements:
·Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance. Must have clearance to begin work
·Minimum of 6 year’s Navy experience as an Imaging System operator and maintainer
·Perform Test and Evaluation efforts for system level testing
·Develop and maintain test documentation and procedures
·Troubleshoot hardware and software related bugs
·Verify and Validate bug resolution
·Manage hardware and software configurations
·Install and maintain hardware and software
·Troubleshoot hardware and software related bugs
·Verify and Validate bug resolution
·Manage hardware and software configuration
·Install and maintain hardware and software
·Task-driven with ability to work independently
