Job Posting Title Development Engineer

This position involves fast path/data plane/user plane software feature enhancements for Samsung’s 4G/5G Network elements. The candidate is expected to be involved in feature development, testing and bug fixing for 4G/5G Network elements.

1) Design & development of fast path/data plane/User plane Software for 4G/5G systems

2) Work on DPDK and Vector packet processing (VPP), Cloud Native Network Function (CNF) 3) Analyse the new requirements from operators, make impact analysis, work on design, implementation and testing of the feature

4) Analyse field issues or issues reported by test team and fix them as needed

Preferred Skills:

1) Must have very good C programming skills.

2) Must have at least 5+ year's prior experience in working fast path application.

3) Must have worked on 4G/5G Core Networks (PGW/SGW, UPF) fast path feature development starting from requirement understanding to customer support after release.

4) Knowledge of TAC3 exp (live network maintenance, debugging etc.) is required.

5) Must have worked in L2/L3 forwarding.

6) Knowledge of Intel DPDK is must. Knowledge of VPP, Cavium Processors is a big plus.

7) Good understanding of Operating System concepts and x86 architecture.

8) Should have good data structure/algorithm skills.

9) Should have good understanding of networking domain and TCP/UDP/IP protocols.

10) Good team player and curiosity to learn.

Mandatory Skills- C programming language with Linux OS and experience either in DPDk (Data Plane Development Kit), VPP, Fastpath, Data Plane
