As our Connections & Low Voltage Planning Manager, you'll lead a team responsible for two critical areas:

This is a unique opportunity to bring together customer needs, network planning and emerging technology to make a real impact on how our network evolves.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead a specialist team that sits at the intersection of customer growth and network planning.

Your focus will include:

  • Leading Powerco's Connections & Low Voltage Planning function
  • Ensuring customer connection requests are delivered efficiently and consistently
  • Working closely with Customer Delivery Services, Development Planning, Asset Management and Delivery teams to remove barriers and improve outcomes
  • Using new data and insights from our LV visibility platform (GridSight) to better understand network capacity and future constraints

  • Driving continuous improvement, capability development and team performance
  • Building strong relationships with customers, developers, consultants and industry stakeholders

What success looks like

In this role you'll help ensure:

  • Customers can connect to our network with greater certainty and transparency
  • Connection processes are efficient, scalable and customer-focused
  • Low voltage network constraints are identified earlier and addressed proactively
  • Investment decisions are informed by better data and clearer visibility of future demand
  • Strong alignment exists between customer growth, network planning and investment

What we're looking for

We're interested in hearing from experienced electricity industry professionals who bring a combination of technical expertise, leadership capability and commercial awareness.

You'll ideally have:

  • An engineering degree (BE or equivalent)
  • Significant experience in electricity network planning, power systems engineering or a related field
  • Experience leading, coaching or developing technical teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to balance customer, commercial and technical considerations when making decisions
  • Knowledge of electricity industry regulations, standards and emerging trends
  • CPEng accreditation (or be working towards it)

Why Powerco?

At Powerco, we're committed to building a network that supports the communities we serve now and into the future.

You'll join a collaborative team that values innovation, continuous improvement and working together to solve complex challenges. Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to influence decisions that directly shape the future of our network and customer experience.

If you're passionate about enabling growth, developing people and helping create a smarter, more resilient electricity network, we'd love to hear from you.
