WHY THIS ROLE
This is a hands-on leadership role at a highly regarded New York boutique consistently recognized for market excellence and workplace quality — including multi-year Chambers USA rankings, placement on the National Law Journal's "Midsize Hot List," and recognition on Crain's New York's Best Places to Work list. Unlike large-firm conflicts roles where analysts are one of many in a compliance hierarchy, this position carries genuine autonomy: you'll own complex ethical conflict analyses end-to-end and help modernize the conflicts function rather than just maintain it. The hybrid schedule is structured and consistent — three set days in office, two remote — not subject to partner discretion.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll run the firm's conflicts process from intake through resolution, handling complex ethical conflict analyses independently and partnering with the General Counsel's office on the most novel matters. This is a high-autonomy role on a lean team, with a clear expectation that you'll bring leadership and process improvements, not just execution.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 5+ years of conflicts management in a law firm setting
• Expert-level ability to analyze complex conflict reports and apply the Rules of Professional Conduct
• Demonstrated ability to make independent judgment calls and clear conflicts without escalating routine matters to General Counsel
Preferred:
• Leadership or supervisory experience
• JD or LL.M. (candidates with advanced legal degrees may be considered above the stated salary range)
