The Role

The Configuration Specialist – QA Focus is a specialist role responsible for ensuring the quality, correctness, and robustness of configurations and localisations delivered for the Qapter suite of products.

Reporting to the Configuration Team Lead, this role focuses on validation, testing, and troubleshooting of configuration logic, acting as a quality gate between business requirements, configuration delivery, and production environments.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify defects and inconsistencies through manual feature testing, end-to-end workflow validation, and the execution and analysis of automated regression test results within the configuration domain.

The successful individual will work closely with Configuration Specialists, Professional Services, and Product teams to ensure configurations meet functional, business, and quality expectations before release.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform testing and validation of configuration changes delivered within sprint cycles, ensuring tickets meet functional and quality expectations before closure.
  • Execute manual feature testing and end-to-end workflow validation across configured scenarios and use cases.
  • Execute, review, and analyse automated regression test results, identifying configuration-related issues and impacts.
  • Identify, document, and clearly communicate defects or unexpected behaviours related to configuration logic.
  • Work closely with Configuration Specialists to clarify requirements, resolve defects, and improve configuration quality.
  • Take ownership of QA sign-off for configuration tickets and close tickets once validation is successfully completed.
  • Maintain clear validation evidence and documentation in tools such as JIRA and Confluence. ​

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience working in a QA, configuration QA, or validation role within a software delivery environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand, test, and reason about configuration logic, rules, and expressions.
  • Experience performing manual feature testing and end-to-end workflow testing.
  • Exposure to automated regression testing, including executing tests and analysing results.
  • Ability to understand structured logic or expressions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset, with confidence to approve and close tickets.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with configuration, product, and professional services teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of QA outcomes.
