Job Description

Leidos, a leading defense, intelligence, and technology company, is seeking a full-time motivated Configuration Management (CM) Analyst to join our Digital Modernization Group on the Global Solutions Management – Operations II (GSM-O II) contract at Scott AFB, IL. As part of our team, you'll contribute to the operations, sustainment, and defense of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) within the DOD Information Network (DODIN), supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Your Opportunity:

We're seeking driven and capable candidates to join our GSM-O team! As our team helps lead DISA's transition from legacy tools to the ServiceNow platform, you will directly support network operations and engineering functions, contributing to the reliability and security of critical communication infrastructure.

What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain the configuration management plan that outlines the processes, standards, and tools used for managing configurations across our diverse DoD network.

  • Support the change management process by participating in requesting, evaluating, approving and implementing changes to the configuration items (CIs) such as servers, routers, and circuit data.

  • Ensure all CIs are properly labeled and identified in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

  • Receive, track and analyze change requests (CRs) in our ServiceNow environment, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.

  • Monitor the progress of approved changes to ensure they are implemented correctly.

  • Independently conduct periodic audits of CIs to verify they conform to the established baseline and standards.

  • Identify, document, and report discrepancies between the auto-discovered configurations and documented configurations.

  • Prepare and present audit reports to management, highlighting key findings and corrective recommendations.

  • Contribute with development and maintenance of ServiceNow dashboards representing baseline CIs across DISN.

  • Assist with process documents to ensure documentation stays current and reflects best practices.

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of CM processes and procedures.

What You’ll Bring (required):

  • Security Clearance: A current and active DoD Secret security clearance is required to be considered for this position.

  • Experience & Education: Requires 1-3 years of direct experience in Configuration Management or a related IT field. A Bachelor's degree is a plus, but equivalent professional experience will be strongly considered.

  • ITSM Knowledge: Basic understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and prior experience using an ITSM tool, with ServiceNow experience being a significant plus.

  • Technical Foundation: Solid understanding of networking concepts.

  • Professional Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and proven problem-solving abilities.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Tools: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Location: This position is based on-site at Scott AFB, Illinois. All work must be performed on site.

What We Want (desired):

  • Commitment to obtaining Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT II certification) within a specified timeframe.

  • ITIL Foundation Certification.

  • Interest in developing skills related to ServiceNow reporting and dashboards.
