POSITION SUMMARY

As a Configuration Engineer, you will configure and deliver Clearion Web and Mobile applications for

customer projects, working closely with Business Analysts, Product, Engineering, GIS, Customer Support,

and QA. This role is built for QA professionals: you bring 3+ years of hands-on QA experience, and we

train you in Clearion configuration. You will start with standard configuration tasks while learning the

Clearion platform and progressively take ownership of more complex customer implementations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Configure Clearion Web and Mobile applications using Clearion Studio Configuration tool and VS Code, implementing and maintaining solutions that meet product requirements and ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
• Apply your QA skills to test and validate configurations, to troubleshoot and investigate configuration issues, partnering with Business Analysts, Product, Engineering, GIS, Customer Support, and QA as needed.
• Participate in requirements and business flow review sessions with BAs and the Product team to provide configuration expertise and support.
• Follow the team's established workflows and standards, proactively flagging and suggesting improvements as needed.
• Deliver configuration tasks on time, managing priorities to meet project deadlines, and proactively communicate blockers, risks, and delivery timelines to the team and relevant stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and propose configuration and testing improvements, maintain configuration and test documentation, usage guidelines and instructions to ensure team-wide transparency and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in team activities — daily standups, retrospectives, planning sessions, project meetings, and training sessions — as an active, engaged team member.

Requirements

Key Competencies:

• Configure software using Clearion Studio and VS Code with precision and attention to detail.
• Apply QA mindset to test and validate implemented configurations, ensuring they meet quality standards before delivery.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while keeping stakeholders informed.
• Take ownership of your tasks, escalating blockers promptly and handing off with enough context for others to act, while staying accountable for the result.
• Adapt to changes in configuration tooling and product roadmap priorities.

Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in web and mobile application quality assurance, including functional and regression testing.
• Hands-on skills with DevTools, HTML, XML, JSON, and SQL.
• Familiarity with VS Code and Git is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, international team environment.
• Upper-Level Intermediate English at a minimum (spoken and written).
• Basic JavaScript knowledge is a plus.
• Familiarity with Arcade, GIS/ArcGIS is a plus.
