Job Location: System Office - Augusta, ME 04330Confidential Resource Advisor and Interpersonal Violence Awareness Educator
The Maine Community College System (MCCS) is looking to fill a full-time Confidential Resource Advisor and Interpersonal Violence Awareness Educator position. This position will provide emergency and ongoing support to survivors of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and stalking at the seven Community Colleges within the Maine Community College System. This position will serve as educator to the seven Community Colleges on matters of sexual harassment, sexual assault, interpersonal violence, stalking, and other forms of discrimination on the basis of sex in compliance with law.
The Confidential Resource Advisor and Interpersonal Violence Awareness Educator position is classified as a confidential position, level 4.  MCCS offers a full suite of employee benefits including health, dental, vision and life insurance, retirement savings, flexible savings accounts, employee assistance program, tuition waivers, 529 education plan MCCS matching grant and paid holidays, vacation, and sick time.
The required minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five years of experience in supporting individuals who have experienced interpersonal violence or stalking. Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field preferred. Five plus years supporting individuals who have experienced interpersonal violence or stalking preferred.
The required knowledge, skills, and abilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Experience in sexual violence or domestic violence advocacy, support, and/or education.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working with students in higher education setting.
- Experience developing and delivering training to diverse populations.
- Experience developing and delivering ongoing awareness campaigns related to topics of interpersonal violence or stalking.
