Currently undergoing a $20 million refurbishment, including a complete transformation of event spaces with upgraded finishes and enhanced audiovisual capabilities, the resort is entering an exciting new chapter focused on elevating guest experiences and strengthening its position as a leading destination for events.

Job Description

This is a fast-paced and influential role where you will lead the day-to-day delivery of conferences, meetings and events, ensuring every experience is executed seamlessly — from intimate gatherings through to large-scale events of up to 1,400 guests.

Working closely with Commercial, Food & Beverage and operational teams, you will bring events to life through strong planning, leadership and attention to detail. You will lead and inspire the Events Operations team, driving service excellence, operational efficiency and memorable experiences for every client and guest.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful delivery of conferences, meetings and events, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained.
• Lead, coach and motivate the Events Operations team to deliver outstanding experiences.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless coordination from event planning through to execution.
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle.
• Manage rostering, labour costs and operational efficiency to achieve business objectives.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across event operations and service delivery.
• Ensure a safe, professional and positive working environment for the team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in conference and events operations within a hotel, resort or large-scale venue environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop and support a high-performing team.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities.
• A proactive approach with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence.
• Confident communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, guests and internal stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing labour, costs and operational performance.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
