We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable leader to join our team as a Concrete Plant Manager in Cairns
This is a hands-on, multi-functional leadership role where you will take ownership of plant operations, lead a diverse team, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day plant operations across safety, production, logistics, customer service, and sales
Deliver high-quality customer service through effective management of plant and truck availability
Oversee fleet and logistics coordination, including contractors (LODs), suppliers, and transport performance
Plan and manage plant capacity, forward orders, and resource allocation to meet demand and avoid overbooking
Monitor and manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and resource optimisation
Ensure all procurement and purchasing activities comply with company policies, budgets, and approved supplier agreements
Maintain product quality standards in line with business and customer requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through proactive engagement and service delivery
Ensure all quotations, contracts, billing, and credits are completed accurately and on time
Maintain fixed and mobile assets in line with required service intervals
Lead a proactive safety culture, ensuring full compliance with all safety policies and procedures
Provide strong leadership to develop, coach, and manage team performance
Maintain accurate operational and financial reporting in relevant systems
About You:
Proven leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, or a similar environment
Strong commercial acumen, with exposure to P&L, budgeting, and cost control
A strong commitment to safety leadership and risk management
The ability to manage competing priorities and make effective decisions under pressure
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with strong planning capability
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence
