Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Form Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for setting up and installing formwork for concrete structures, ensuring accuracy and safety on every project. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life by creating sturdy, precise forms that serve as molds for concrete pouring. Duties

• Interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine formwork requirements and specifications.
• Construct, assemble, and install formwork using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to ensure proper alignment and stability.
• Install rebar reinforcement within forms as specified in project plans to strengthen concrete structures.
• Prepare work sites by performing heavy lifting, concrete cutting, and layout marking to facilitate efficient form setup.
• Operate concrete mixers and manage concrete pouring processes while ensuring proper finishing techniques such as smoothing and sealing.
• Follow construction safety regulations diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols during all phases of work.
• Collaborate with carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks like framing, stucco application, roofing support, or restoration work related to concrete structures.

Experience

• Proven experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete forming or related trades such as carpentry or masonry.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of tools like hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and concrete pumping equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical specifications accurately.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes and understanding of building codes related to formwork and concrete installation.
• Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards or equivalent safety protocols.
• Experience with rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, and the use of heavy machinery for lifting or cutting concrete materials.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
