Job Description

As our Concrete Carpenter, you will play an important role in building safe, high‑quality concrete structures through solid craftsmanship, attention to detail, and teamwork on the jobsite.

You will perform a variety of concrete carpentry tasks, including building, setting, and stripping formwork for foundations, slabs, walls, and other concrete elements. You will also help ensure that all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and quality standards while ensuring a safe, hazard free work environment.

Experienced concrete carpenters may take on more complex work, lead small crews, and support quality and productivity in the field.

Your Background

  • Previous experience as a concrete carpenter or form builder on commercial construction projects.

  • Strong skillset in building, setting, bracing, and stripping concrete formwork for slabs, walls, footings, columns, and related structures.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, grades, elevations, measurements, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding field environment.

    Essential Functions
    You must be able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, climb ladders, climb stairs, walk on uneven ground, work above ground on scaffolds, have depth of perception to avoid excavations and other hazards, hear well enough to recognize the sounds of horns and sirens on moving equipment and have good finger manipulation. There is a constant lifting of 10 lbs., frequent lifting of 25 lbs. and maximum single person lifting of 50 lbs. For items over 50 lbs. get assistance from a co worker. Team members must be able to climb on light or heavy equipment, carry and use hand tools. There is standing up to seven hours of an eight-hour shift. Ability to work in outside temperatures from 25 - 115 degrees.
