About the Community: Hartford 21 is a 262-unit, 36-story high-rise located in the heart of downtown Hartford, CT. Residents at H21 enjoy onsite access to community amenities, such as a 24-hour concierge service, 24-hour fitness center, an Internet lounge, and a dog park.

About the Role: Northland is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Concierge to join our team. As the first point of contact for residents, guests, vendors, and prospective residents, the Concierge is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional experience within the community. This role provides exceptional customer service, assists with resident requests, coordinates package and visitor management, and serves as a resource for community amenities and local attractions while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations.

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs, including varying shift times throughout the week. Candidates must also be available to work weekends.

  • Greet and assist residents, guests, vendors, and prospective residents in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Serve as a primary resource for information regarding community amenities, services, policies, and local attractions.
  • Assist residents with recommendations and arrangements for dining, transportation, entertainment, recreation, personal services, and other local resources as requested.
  • Receive, process, and notify residents of package deliveries, mail, messages, and other correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident requests, package deliveries, visitor activity, and service arrangements.
  • Monitor and maintain front desk operations to ensure a welcoming and organized environment.
  • Support resident events and community engagement activities as needed.
  • Maintain current knowledge of community amenities, local businesses, neighborhood events, and area attractions.
  • Assist with emergency procedures and support onsite teams during community incidents or emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with property management, maintenance, and other onsite staff to ensure an exceptional resident experience.

Qualifications & Requirements: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, along with at least one year of experience in property management, hospitality, customer service, or a related field.
  • The ability to multitask and manage time effectively while adhering to certain deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
  • Availability to work weekends is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time, climb, bend, and squat.
  • Must be able to occasionally push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
