About the role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hands-on Concierge to support meetings, events and day-to-day operations at our Melbourne office. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent service and helping events run smoothly behind the scenes.
As the Concierge, you will be one of the first points of contact for staff, members and guests visiting the College. You will help create a welcoming and professional environment while supporting the setup and operation of meetings and events. This is a varied, event-focused role that includes front-of-house support, catering assistance, room setup and basic audiovisual troubleshooting. You will also help maintain clean and organised meeting spaces throughout the day.
Key responsibilities include:
• Welcoming staff, guests and meeting attendees to the building
• Opening and closing event and meeting spaces
• Assisting with catering deliveries, setup, pack-down and clean-up
• Supporting meeting room setup and room presentation
• Assisting with audiovisual setup and troubleshooting during meetings and events
• Providing reception and guest services support including calls, mail and deliveries
• Maintaining a safe, clean and professional environment
• Supporting security and ensuring building procedures are followed
This is a casual position with shifts based on event requirements. Weekend availability and flexibility for early starts are essential.

About the team
The Concierge role sits within the Internal Services team, which supports the smooth day-to-day operation of the College. The team works closely with staff, members, suppliers and event organisers to ensure meetings, events and office activities run efficiently.
The team coordinates logistics, room setup, catering support and audiovisual assistance, while also maintaining welcoming and professional spaces for all visitors and staff.
About you
You are approachable, dependable and enjoy helping people. You can stay calm under pressure, work independently and adapt quickly when priorities change.
You will bring:
• Experience in a concierge, hospitality, reception or customer service role
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Confidence using audiovisual equipment and troubleshooting basic AV issues
• RSA and Food Safety Certificates
• A proactive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
Availability to work weekends is essential for this role.
