At The Prince George Hotel in the heart of downtown Halifax, the Concierge team is the front line of hospitality. What You Will Do:

This role is about creating a sense of recognition the moment a guest steps into the lobby. You will bring courteous, accurate and thoughtful service to every interaction and follow through on the details that matter. You will:

  • Welcome guests with confidence, warmth and a positive presence
  • Support the full range of lobby services including greeting, information, delivery, luggage handling, valet parking, and departure assistance
  • Build knowledge in all five key service areas including switchboard, lobby services, front desk, night audit and security services
  • Deepen your understanding of the hotel’s facilities, services and features so you can guide guests and support sales opportunities
  • Apply training resources, checklists and departmental standards to deliver consistent and high quality service
  • Keep information flowing through clear logbook entries and email communication
  • Make sound decisions to restore the loyalty of dissatisfied guests and exceed expectations whenever you can
  • Follow all emergency response standards and report any incidents or safety concerns promptly
  • Support management with additional assignments as needed

What You Bring:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior knowledge of Halifax and Nova Scotia.
  • Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License and be able to operate a manual and automatic transmission.
  • A clean drivers abstract and at least two years of licensed driving
  • A genuine desire to serve guests and a personal style that makes people feel welcome
  • Comfort working a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • A team mindset and a willingness to grow your skills across multiple areas
  • Calm decision making and a natural ability to stay composed in busy moments
  • Completion of secondary school or equivalent minimum; Completion of a two-year apprenticeship program, or a college program in front desk operations or hotel management is considered an asset.
