Concessions Worker

The Covey Center for the Arts is hiring a part-time Concessions Worker to assist with concessions sales and crowd flow before, during, and after performances at the Arts Center. This position involves money handling, processing food orders in-person and online, and assisting patrons. Qualified, friendly, and civic-minded individuals interested in participating in the performing arts services provided to Provo City’s residents and all of Utah county are encouraged to apply.
What is the compensation?
Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour. Payment will be by direct deposit.

What are the hours?
This position requires an average of 20 hours per week, performed during Covey Center events. Typical hours are Monday through Saturday, 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Some hours will fall during the day for matinees, which typically occur on Saturdays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
What are the physical and environmental factors?
This work requires interacting with the public and dealing with occasional adverse and stressful situations with a friendly and cheerful demeanor; and standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 25 lbs.) during long periods at a concessions counter.
What is the selection process?
Applications will be reviewed in the order they are submitted, with the first screening being held on September 21, 2026. Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications listed above to be eligible for consideration.
If selected for hire, candidate will be required to successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Non-disclosure may result in dismissal. Applicants with unsatisfactory drug screen results will be ineligible for appointment or application to any Provo City position for a minimum period of six (6) months.
