Position Title: CONCESSIONS COOK - CAMP RANDALL STADIUM

Pay Range $18 - $22

Join our team as a Concessions Cook and play a key role in providing high-quality food at UW-Madison sporting events. You'll be responsible for preparing delicious meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that each dish is made with care and meets safety and quality standards. If you have passion for cooking and enjoy working in a dynamic, event-driven atmosphere, this is the perfect opportunity for you! Anticipated start date in May.

Key Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality food items based on standardized recipes to meet production schedules and ensure proper delivery times.
• Portioning & Service: Serve meals or prepare items for delivery with correct portion sizes, ensuring food is at the right temperature and visually appealing.
• Kitchen Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by cleaning work areas, washing dishes, and properly storing or discarding excess food following safe food-handling procedures.
• Food Storage & Organization: Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and well-organized. Ensure all food and supplies are stored according to safety standards to minimize waste.
• Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain kitchen equipment following safety and operational guidelines. Report any equipment malfunctions or accidents immediately to supervisors.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with fellow team members, management, and customers, ensuring a smooth kitchen operation during fast-paced event hours.
• Safety Compliance: Follow HACCP guidelines to maintain food safety and hygiene, and ensure all food items are served at the correct temperature.
• Safety & Training: Attend in-service and safety meetings, and consistently adhere to safety practices to maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as needed to ensure the success of food service during events.

Qualifications:

• Culinary Experience: Previous culinary experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Certifications: Must have or be willing to complete ServSafe Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Safety Certification.
• Positive Attitude: A strong team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 20-40 lbs and work on your feet for long periods during events.
• Availability: Must be available to work all UW-Madison football games and a majority of events at the Kohl Center Arena.
