Entry-Level Repair Technician
Job Title: Repair Technician I (Entry Level)
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Mon - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Reports To: Repair Supervisor or Service Manager
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Repair Technician to join our team. The Repair Technician will inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test equipment, tools, or products to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with their hands, solving problems, and learning technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose basic mechanical and electrical issues.
- Perform repairs according to company procedures and quality standards.
- Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble equipment and components.
- Conduct functional testing to verify repairs have been completed successfully.
- Document repair work, parts used, and test results.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist senior technicians with more complex repairs as needed.
- Communicate repair status and potential issues to supervisors.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Previous experience in equipment repair, maintenance, assembly, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Technical school, vocational training, or relevant certifications.
- Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
- Ability to work in a shop, or production environment
