Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team! This full-time opportunity is ideal for a radiologic technologist looking to expand their CT expertise while providing exceptional patient care.

About the Role

Under the direction of the CT Supervisor, the CT Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic and complex CT examinations with minimal supervision. The position requires strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

What You'll Do

• Perform CT examinations with and without IV contrast, including brain, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and extremities.
• Assist physicians with CT-guided biopsies and drainages.
• Provide clear instructions and reassurance to patients throughout procedures.
• Assist with invasive procedures while maintaining sterile technique and infection-control practices.
• Perform required quality-control activities.
• Follow NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines.
• Promote patient and family satisfaction through professional, compassionate service.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.
• Provide care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Call may be required.

Qualifications

Required:

• AAS degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-approved school.
• Current NYS license.
• ARRT certification.
• Knowledge of anatomical positioning and physiology.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred:

• ARRT certification in CT.
• Registered CT specialist or additional CT training from an AMA-approved school.
• One or more years of Radiologic Technology experience.
