Samsung Design Innovation Center (SDIC) is looking for a Computational Engineering Intern who is passionate about combining computational design workflows, advanced simulations, and experimental validation You will help develop, run, and automate FEA simulations for wearable products, conduct material characterization, and participate in user testing to validate model predictions and improve product performance. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work in a cutting-edge R&D environment, collaborating with designers, engineers, and creative technologists in Paris, San Francisco and Seoul.

Role and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
FEA analysis:
Perform sensitivity analyzes on mechanical simulation for wearable product and assess impact of assumptions on simulation results
Automate simulation meshing process
Help in automating simulation setup and post processing
Experimental Design & Validation:
Perform material characterization to provide mechanical properties for FEA models
Provide mechanical test data to calibrate simulation models
Support user testing of wearable prototypes to evaluate fit, comfort, and usability.
This internship is subject to the signing of an internship agreement in accordance with French regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
Candidate Profile
Proficient in English (speaking and writing)
Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in engineering
Knowledge of FEA software (Abaqus mainly, or Ansys, Hypermesh, Nastran) and FEA theory fundamentals is essential for that offer
Familiarity with object-oriented Python scripting
Interest in developing simple test benches and experimental protocols
Detail-oriented, curious, and proactive
(Nice to have) Knowledge of parametric modeling tools
(Nice to have) Knowledge of simulation model calibration using experimental data
