Adelphia Gateway LLC, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking a Compression Operator for Salford, PA location to service, maintain and repair mechanical equipment (compressors, pumps, motors, etc.) used in natural gas transmission systems, maintains and operates natural gas (turbine and/or reciprocating) compressors to ensure the continuous flow of natural gas to customers.

Major Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and repair as well as emergency troubleshooting and repair on compressors, coolant systems, lube oil systems, valves and actuators, emergency power systems, emergency shutdown systems, safety systems and station and unit control systems
• Follow maintenance and repair procedures and standards to ensure integrity and safety of mechanical systems and equipment; carry out routine maintenance checks and report/resolve any faults or abnormalities
• Work with operations and engineering teams to maintain standard procedures and troubleshoot problems
• Maintain compressor site operating procedures manual, reports, permits and logs and properly record all maintenance and repair activities
• Assure compliance with all applicable regulations (DOT, OSHA, EPA, etc.); identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Perform fuel and exhaust sampling, ensure proper handling and disposal of oil and oil waste absorbents, disposal of coolant, and other hazardous waste generated
• Order and maintain parts and supply inventories at compressor sites; notify supervisor of availability or quality issues
• Provide assistance with the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of PLC’s and electronic control systems and devices
• Manually operate compressors during testing and real time operation
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and execute repairs
• Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed
• Able to perform compliance activities to include line patrolling, leakage surveys, line locating and complete associated forms
• Participate in company safety program
• Assist in developing project scopes and station work plans
Position Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED with at least three years of demonstrated work related experience; two years of gas lift experience is preferred
• Mechanical aptitude with prior experience in troubleshooting, operating and maintaining Industrial or Stationary Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines
• Previous training and experience with electronics or electrical equipment and instrumentation
• Basic knowledge of electrical and combustible gas safety regulations and procedures
• Valid driver’s license
• Demonstrated time management skills; ability to work independently
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Subject to DOT testing/OQ training and certification
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, or holidays
• Required to carry a company-provided cell phone and respond both during working and non-working hours to emergency calls and situations within 1 hour.
• Must reside within 35 miles of assigned work location
• Working conditions include exposure to extreme heat and/or cold temperatures, high noise levels, and enclosed spaces. Applicant must be able to perform work while bending, stooping, squatting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, ladders, scaffolds and must be physically able to climb, crawl, and position their body in such a way they can perform their required duties in tight and often awkward environments. Must have good visual acuity and hearing, be capable of carrying and lifting items sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs.

Job Location Type: Onsite - Salford/Quakertown, PA
Compensation: Expected base pay range for this role will be $66,300- $84,500.
Base pay is based on several factors including, experience, skills, and knowledge.
This role will be eligible to participate in an annual short term incentive program.
