What will you do?
Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to understand material specifications and requirements, ensuring all purchases meet company standards.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure a continuous flow of materials, preventing production disruptions.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear and open communication.
Implement purchasing strategies that optimize costs and improve delivery timelines.
Release purchase orders based on MRP signals and inventory requirements.
Monitor and track open orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve delays.
Maintain accurate system data, including lead times, order quantities, and delivery dates.
Follow up on critical shortages and escalate issues that may impact production.
Review and adjust planning parameters (e.g., safety stock, reorder points) to align with demand fluctuations.
Collaborate with warehouse and receiving teams to ensure smooth inbound material flow.
Support production scheduling by ensuring material availability for planned builds.
Participate in daily operations meetings to provide updates on material status and risk.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in raw material purchasing or procurement roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, MRP, and inventory management.
Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
Advanced English proficiency is essential for effective communication with international suppliers.
