The Composition Area at the College of Performing Arts seeks a highly motivated student to serve as Composition Area, Student Assistant. We’re looking for a creative and responsible individual to support initiatives within the Composition Area. This position reports to the Program and Administration Manager, Mannes School of Music and is an ideal position for students who are interested in a career in the composition or classical music-related field.
This position is open to student applicants with Federal Work Study awards, as well as student applicants without a Federal Work Study award.
Hourly Rate: $17.00
Hours per Week: 2-3 hours per week on average (estimated 40 hours per semester)

Assist with the scheduling, rehearsal coordination, and execution of Composition Department activities while liaising with the College of Performing Arts Production Office and Library. Support the coordination and promotion of Composers Collective events in collaboration with the Department Chair and Program & Administration Manager alongside additional duties as assigned.
