The Composite Technician I-V Position
The mission of every Robertson employee is to execute their responsibilities with the #1 goal of saving and protecting the lives of service members across the globe. Primary duties include processing lay-up techniques to include pre-preg or wet lay-up, cutting, bagging, basic repair, and or trimming operations in the composite repair of aerospace, and related fiberglass products as well as sanding, potting of inserts, filling, and laminating repairs.

Education and Experience for the Composite Technician I-V
High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a manufacturing role combined with the demonstrated ability to perform level I, II and III tasks per the training matrix; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Physical Demands of the Composite Technician I-V
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to walk, stand and climb. The incumbent is occasionally required to sit, bend, squat, kneel or crawl and lift or carry a maximum of 75 pounds; as well as push or pull a maximum of 300 pounds. This position involves occasionally working in a confined space. The incumbent will regularly use hand tools including but not limited to scissors, hand sanders, wrenches, sockets, drills, screwdrivers, spray guns, lay up squeegees, brushers, rollers, rulers, and calipers. The incumbent will occasionally use power tools including but not limited to computers, panel saws, table saws, shapers, sanders, motorized trim fixtures and occasionally operate forklifts.
Work Environment for the Composite Technician I-V
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly exposed to mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to dirty working conditions, heat or cold ranging between 35 and 100 degree ambient conditions, chemical vapors or fumes, dust, shavings and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The incumbent is required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including Nitrile or Chloroprene gloves, negative or positive pressure respirator, dust mask, safety glasses, protective clothing, goggles, hearing protection, and work or anti-vibration gloves.
