Component Engineering position requiring both technical and operational experience in support of our component supplier Product Change, Product Discontinuance and Materials Compliance Processes. Candidate need to have good experience and technical knowledge on Electronic components – specifications, characteristics, applications etc.
What you'll do:
Good experience and understanding of the end-to-end supplier product change/discontinuance notification process.
Collecting & validating specifications for all types semiconductor components (ASICs, Discretes, analog/digital/communication ICs, etc.) used in networking/routing applications.
Understanding of key component parameters for Discrete Semiconductors and Digital Logic/Analog ICs
Possess good technical knowledge in discrete semiconductors and digital logic/analog ICs. Knowledge in any additional semiconductor component types is an added advantage
Identifying alternate parts and manufacturers with Fit, Form and Function analysis
Manufacturing & testing experience on electronic components/PCB assemblies is an added advantage
What you need to bring:
BS in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical)
First-hand experience in Component Engineering / Parts Catalog Management / Environmental Compliance Management / Product Data & Change Management.
5+ years of work experience related to component engineering.
Experience in component selection based on the requirements provided by design engineers.
Deep knowledge in different compliance requirements like RoHS, REACH, Full Material Content Declaration, etc
Understanding of various component qualification tests/standards with the ability to analyze/review quality and reliability test data & reports.
Working knowledge of Agile PLM or any other ERP/PLM Tools.
